Giving at Gilroy FBC
Everything we have comes from God, and His Word calls us to live generously. The Bible speaks of the tithe (giving 10% of what God provides) as a way to support His kingdom work, while offerings are gifts given above and beyond the tithe. Both are acts of worship that fuel the mission of the church and touch lives near and far.
Our heart is not about an amount, but about participation—that each of us would seek God personally and give as He leads. Scripture reminds us:
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
—2 Corinthians 9:7-8
